Problems adding a SafePass Enabled Bank of America account

If you're trying to add a Bank of America account and have SafePass enabled you will need to temporarily adjust some settings for SafePass on the Bank of America site.

There are 2 options for SafePass that need to be disabled in order to connect your account. Please verify you have SafePass disabled by following these steps:

1. Go to the Bank of America website and sign in to your account

2. On the navigation bar at the top of the webpage, click on "Customer Service"

3. Under "Security Features" (bottom left) click on "View your SafePass settings"

4. On the SafePass settings page, make sure that both settings below are Off (you will have to authorize this with a SafePass Code):

  • Verify my identity with SafePass instead of SiteKey challenge questions. (Off)
  • Require SafePass to sign in to Online Banking. (Off)

5. Important: Sign out of the Bank of America website

6. In Wallet, click the "Invalid Login - Login again". If it connects and you see new transactions, you are good to go and can re-enable SafePass if you'd like

To re-enable:

1. Go back to the Bank of America website and sign in to your account

2. Go to the Bank of America website and sign in to your account

3. On the navigation bar at the top of the webpage, click on "Customer Service"

4. Under "Security Features" (bottom left) click on "View your SafePass settings"

Important: The second option, "Require SafePass to sign into Online Banking", must remain unchecked in order to us to connect to your Bank of America account.

If this doesn't solve the problem, you may be experiencing an error unrelated to SafePass. We suggest that you contact us so that we can follow up with you directly.
